1. Games:
All teams must present a player attendance sheet to the official scorekeeper prior to each
game. This document will be provided by the PBHO.
All games will have a THREE (3) minute pre-game warm-up.
Each game will consist of Three (3) 12 minute running time periods;
except in the last TWO (2) minutes of the third period when the score
differential is TWO (2) goals or less.
Stop clock time will apply until game is complete or score becomes
greater than two goals.
Teams will have ONE (1) time out per game.
The team may play a game with a minimum of FOUR (4) players and ONE (1) goalie.
If a team does not have a minimum of FOUR (4) players and ONE (1) goalie the game is considered a
FORFEIT by that team. There will be a “grace” time of an additional two minutes added to the clock
at the completion of the three minute pre-game warm-up upon expiration of the grace time; the game
will be considered a FORFEIT. The game will go in the records as a 8-0 loss.
2. Playoffs:
The 1st round of the Playoffs is single elimination. The championship game will be played in a best of
three (3) games format; the top four (4) teams in each division will make the playoffs in the first round.
The playoff seeding in case of a tie shall be as follows:
1. Total points
2. Number of wins.
3. Head to Head.
4. Goals against.
5. Goals for.
6. Penalty minutes
7. Coin flip
3. Penalties:
The Palm Beach Hockey Organization (PBHO) Scholastic League follows the current OFFICIAL
PLAYING RULES OF AAU/USARS INLINE HOCKEY but reserves the authority to develop and implement
such additional rules, league fees and disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate by the
board to ensure sportsmanship, skill development and safe hockey experience.
Additionally, upon agreement by the opposing coaches and the
officials, and both teams having a goalie, the game may be played by
utilizing players from the opposing team.
If a game considered a FORFEIT and the official score shall be considered as a
8-0 game.
1) Any player who receives THREE (3) penalties within a game will be ejected from that game.
2) Any player who starts or participates in FIGHTING will be suspended for TWO (2) games.
a. Any player who starts or participates in FIGHTING a second time in the same season
will be suspended for the balance of the season including playoffs.
3) A Suspended player/coach must attend every complete game for which they
are serving a suspension.
a. The suspended player/coach must check in with the official score keeper prior to
each game.
b. The suspended player/coach must check out with the official score keeper after each
game.
c. The suspended player/coach shall not be in uniform for that game.
d. The suspended player/coach shall not sit on the bench during the game.
e. A violation of this rule WILL result in another game suspension will be served
after the suspended player/coach fulfilled the 1st game suspension
f. Any player/coach who receives 3 suspensions in one season will be suspended for the
remainder of that season including playoffs.
4) Any player receives
his/her third suspension in same season will receive an additional
five game suspension under the League Supplemental Disciplinary
rule. |
